New Project File Wizard

The "New Project File Wizard" is available from the MS Help 2 Advanced Project Editor. This dialog steps you through the process of creating MS Help 2 project files. In some cases FAR will generate contents for you using the HTML and image files found in your project folders  -- EG. Include file (.HxF), TOC file (.HxT), Keyword Index file (.HxK).  You can always edit these files later and modify their contents.

Page 1 - Select MS Help Project Type

Select the type of H2 Project file you want to create. Only the most common project files are list. All other formats you must create yourself using a 3rd party tool or a text editor.

See SDK Help for further information on project file format:

Page 2 - File name

Enter a file name of the new file. Do not enter director information. The file will be created in the project folder (where the .HxC project is located). The list below the file name entry field displays all files with the same file type in the project folder.

Index Name - This field is available when creating an Index (.HxK) file. Each type of Index must have a unique index Name. This can be edited later in the Index editor. If unsure about the correct name to use, just except the default name entered for you.

Automatically Generate - This check box is available for certain file types where FAR can automatically generate the contents of the file. Uncheck this box if you simply want FAR to generate a file with just the required XML basics.

Note: Named URL Index - This special type of Index contains all the URLs that define homepage, defaultpage etc. FAR will generate an index file containing all common identifiers (HomePage, DefaultPage, etc). You must then edit the Index file and set the correct URLs (links) for these Identifiers.

Pressing Next will create the file.
