Set Real Video Path Dialog

Note: This command has been deprecated and is now hidden from the Command menu. If you still use this command you can enable it using the Settings.ini file

The Set Real Video Path Dialog is available from the Commands menu.

Real Producer converts you video and audio files to ReadVideo and ReadAudio files. Unfortunately you are forced to use the Real Publisher to publish your Real Media .html, .rm, .ram and .rpm files to your web site. According to  www.real.com FAQ you can not use FrontPage or your favorite FTP program to publish to the web.

When publishing Real Media files:

  1. The HTML file hosting the Real Media must contain the path of the published location.
  2. The Real Media meta files (.ram or .rpm) must contain the path to the .rm file at the published location.

Fortunately FAR can set these paths for. This allows you to upload the files with the rest of your site.

  1. Drop your HTML files containing the Real Media tags on to FAR.
  2. Select "Command > Misc. Utilities > Set Real Video Path" to show this dialog.
  3. Select a path from the listbox or right click and add a new path.
  4. Press OK. The HTML files and their associated meta files (.ram or .rpm) will be updated to use the selected path.

Tips:

Listbox

Specify a media path by selecting a path from the listbox.

Right click on the listbox to add or remove a path.

Note: The listbox was used instead of a single edit field so that you can store several Real Media publishing paths and not have to retype them again and again.

OK, Cancel, Help

OK - Press OK to set the publishing path and close the window.
Cancel - Press Cancel to dismiss the dialog and cancel any changes.
Help - Press Help to get this online help.
