The Options menu is part of the Main window
Options | Drop File Filter Settings
Before dropping files onto FAR setup file filters.
Allows you to filter out unwanted files and folders.Whenever you drop files onto FAR the files pass through 3 filters (if enabled). If a file makes it through all 3 filters, then it is added to the file list.
Options | Clear File List On Drop
When unchecked, multiple drops can be done, each drop adding to the file list. When checked the drop files replace the existing file list.
Normally you would leave this option checked. Multi-drops can cause delays because of the extra sorting required. By dropping a web onto FAR by its single root folder, or by dropping files and folders from within its root folder, there is no need to do multiple drops.
Options | Auto-Load File List at Startup
When checked FAR reloads the last saved file list when FAR starts up. The file list is reloaded using the explicit file list, not the saved file spec.
Options | Auto-Save File List at Shutdown
When checked, if the current file list is unsaved at shutdown, then FAR automatically saves the file list under the name _LastFARList.FAR into the last directory used.
Options | Preferences (F12)
Set user preferences. Note that you can press F12 from any main window (Modeless window) at any time to jump to the Preferences dialog.
Options | Go To Window (Ctrl+F12)
Displays a list of all main windows (non-modal windows). Open windows are marked with a check. Select the required window and press OK to switch to that window. Note that you can press Ctrl+F12 from any main window at any time to quickly access this window.
